About Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU)
Maharshi Dayanand University, ab intio establishedas Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977After the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand.
It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983. The University is located at Rohtak in the state of Haryana - about 75 kms from Delhi on Delhi-Hisar National Highway (NH-10), and is about 240 kms from Chandigarh, the State Capital. It is well connected both by rail as well as road. Rohtak is the education hub of the State with excellent facilities for education in all fields of knowledge.

A separate training & placement cell of the Institutes have started working on placement activities from very first year to provide 100% placements in top companies of the corporate world at national & International level.
Placement cell of JB Knowledge Park has started working from very first year towards the ultimate goal of students' employment in the industry or to begin a business venture in which they achieve phenomenal success. The department serves the purpose of match making and ends up in a win–win situation i.e. industry get supply of fresh talent and student passing out from institute to get better job opportunities.
The placement cell achieves these through providing multiple opportunities to students to express themselves and present in a group. At the end of each session, the members of the cell inform student's constructive feedback and monitor the growth and development of each student so that, the students are capable of taking an initiative in any situation which would prove an asset to any organization or venture that they are associated with as professional.
In addition, the placement cell organizes industrial visits and industrial training for the students. All these activities tremendously enhance the professional abilities of students and enable them to acquire jobs with best employers in the professional
lworld. Through these activities students gain tremendous exposure and practical knowledge.
Placement Cell also helps students by counseling them to choose an appropriate career depending on their aptitude and interest. It helps to find the student appropriate summer project and final placements.
The students of JB Knowledge Park are required to participate in mock interview and personality development workshops that focus on confidence-building, written and oral communication, and leadership qualities. The cell is engaged in networking with the best companies and organizations in the professional world, and invites them to JB Knowledge Park for holding campus interviews to ensure that students are recruited easily. Industry Interface
This is our most strong facet. Industry interface at JBKP happens through seminars, conferences, corporate interactions and guest lectures. JBKP organizes seminars and conferences throughout the year. The Industry-Institute-Student Interactions are held on a regular basis.
All the above events, besides giving the students a lifetime opportunity of interacting with the leaders of business, also instill in them a great sense of inspiration and motivation.
In addition, JBKP also organizes its Annual Management & Engineering Festival, which draws tremendous participation from other Management & Engineering Schools, both in India and abroad.
